European Parliament supports signing of Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU

October 23, Strasbourg, the European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the European Neighbourhood Policy, which contains a number of important provisions in relations between Ukraine and the EU.

Noting Ukraine’s progress in implementing systemic reforms, the European Parliament, in particular, recommended the EU Council to support the decision on the signing and provisional application of the AA with Ukraine if certain criteria will be performed.

An adopted resolution should be considered as an important political decision that reflects broad consensus in the European Parliament on the need to sign the Association Agreement on the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
