SCM Shareholder Rinat Akhmetov spoke at the opening of the Summit. “The government and business pursue the same goal – a strong and independent Ukraine. We cannot be a strong and independent country without a strong economy and economic growth. What do we need for the economic growth? First of all, huge investments, new technologies and effective governance. What do we need to encourage investors to come to our country faster than to other countries? We need the playing field. The level playing field for everybody! The country and investments are a two-way street, so we need a win-win playing field for everybody: for investors to return their investments and for the country to get new jobs, new technology and effective production. Everybody will win then: the entire Ukraine and every Ukrainian.”
