In 2016 Ukraine’s procurement system ProZorro will be used as mandatory for all government customers. Full transition to this electronic system occurs in two stages. On April 1, its requirements in electronic form were transferred to the central government and large state companies, and from August – the rest of government customers.
Today, the number of tenders in the system has exceeded 95 thousand. The total planned amount of tenders is 31.90 billion USD. Number of customers who have joined the system, almost 5000. Average number of offers for one auction – 2.84, the total savings – 1.45 billion. It is expected that by the end of 2016 the using of ProZorro will save about 5 billion USD for Ukrainian taxpayers.
On May 19 Electronic public procurement system ProZorro gained international recognition from Procurement Leaders. Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has received the most prestigious international award in the field of procurement for the creation and implementation of an electronic system with unique architecture.
